Summary


Journalism, the collection, preparation, and distribution of news and related commentary and feature materials through such print and electronic media as newspaper, magazines, books, blogs, webcasts, podcasts, social networking, and social media sites, and e-mail as well as through radio, motion pictures, and television. Jurnalism is an activity to collect or analyze news, find fact, report event, and so on. The idea is to inform the intended audience. The following is the structures of news :
a. Headline : News Tittle
b. Lead : the beginning of a news that is in the first paragraph related to 5 W + 1 H (what, who, when, where, why) and (how)
c. Byline : someone who writes news
d. Quote : people who talk or related to the news



Reflection

re-read the material on journalism, after that try to understand the characteristics of journalism, and know the purpose of analyzing news. from this study we understand some of the structure of the news that has been submitted and try to find news to analyze. then if you have found news that is suitable for analysis, you can proceed by adjusting it to the news structure such as headlines, leads, by line, and quot. From this journalism lesson, we are taught to be able to read news quickly by just reading the leads, because in the leads there are 5W+1H (what, who, when, where, why) and (how)
